Run, Run, As Fast As You Can
Well, it's been fun here but Tales Of The Cool is on the move. I will no longer be posting here, instead I have found a new home. Tumblr here I come.

Now that I got your attention, thanks to the lovely Alison Brie, I would like to take the time to promote an artist with a special event happening April 27th. It is no secret that Bobby Ray (B.o.B.) is one of my favorite newcomers to the hip-hop scene. Even though he is often categorized as a rapper I hesitate to do so because once you get used to the emcee side, B.o.B., you are introduced to the other half Bobby Ray, a guitar playing musician who makes songs in the genre that he chooses depending on the mood he is in. From blues to pop, rock to rap, once you hear one thing expect something different. With the album release date being almost a month away I would like to (re)introduce you to the artist known as B.o.B.

Just Dance
Alright, I haven't messed with the blog the last couple of days because I have been away from my laptop. And (I don't care what my professors say, I'll start a sentence with "and" whenever I want) posts are going to be a lil' light around here for a while as well because I'm busy celebrating like the guy above. However, here is some new music from Asher Roth and Killer Mike to hold you over until I decide to take this serious again. Which is probably next week, when I want to get away from school, haha.

2DopeBoyz
Every Sunday Shake from 2DopeBoyz puts out a collection of R&B tracks that came out recently and calls it Shake's Sunday Soothing Session. I don't normally download it (and didn't download this one), and I won't be posting it every week as he does. However, this week's cover art was to good to not share. I mean look at that and tell me you didn't at least chuckle. The tape includes songs from Jennifer Lopez, Bruno Mars, Dru Hill, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, and more.

Don't Know Ya
Mr. Bobby Ray lends some bars to Drake's single "Over." You may be asking me, "where is Drake's first single? How can you call this a hip-hop blog site, and not post that song?" Well, that's because if you want to hear that song you can listen to the first verse of "Forever" on a loop, seeing as how Drake talks about the same sh!t on every track. Anyway, Adventures of Bobby Ray April 27th!

Well...
I was gonna post that new Lady Gaga video because I thought my blog could use some diversity, but it would be wrong for me to post a video that I couldn't even sit through. I mean it's okay to make a nine minute video (not really), but if absolutely nothing happens for the first two minutes (the song didn't even start) there is no way I'm sitting through the next seven. Soooooo, here is a scene from the Boondock Saints. Fair trade? If you do want to see the video you can watch it at 2DB.
Freddie Gibbs x Pill
"This shit is nasty"
The dope collaborators both had some new music come out today. From Gangsta Gibbs we get C.H.L. (Cops, Hoes, & Labels) and the Pill track was featured on XXL's Freshman mixtape, which I refuse to post because knowing Whoo Kid there's a shit-load of name drops and "Pow"s over the tracks.

May 25th (No DJ)
I have been hesitating on these no DJ posts, except for "F*** The Money", because I thought an entire no DJ version of the mixtape would have dropped. Instead, we have been getting one song at a time. As long I get "Rain" sans-DJ I'll be happy. Here we have Gladiators featuring J. Cole, which dropped a while back, and Bet I featuring Playboy Tre.

Conceited (Part 2)
I did this word before but I don't feel like finding another one, like I said before it's inevitable (part 1). I'm sure there are some dope songs I can be posting but I can't really focus on anything right now, too many good things happening at the moment. One more day till freedom and six more days till I'm back in my former (soon to be new) home of Austin. Not going for SXSW but I might sneak into a show or two while I'm in town.

Fo Yo Sorrows (Video)
For those who think life isn't fair
Cuz I blow my smoke in the air
As if no one be standing there
Then I'll roll one tonight
FO YO SORROWS
In my chair
As I sit back smiling from ear to ear
With a fistful of your girlfriends hair
Yes, she'll blow one tonight
FO YO SORROWS
The dope videos keep coming. Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty coming soon!

B.o.B. - Nothin On You ft. Bruno Mars (Video)
The official video for Bobby Ray's first single (I guess "I'll Be In The Sky" was a dope mulligan). If this song does not make him blow up into stardom I just don't know what's going on in the world anymore, his album was pushed up so that should be a sign. You can get the single on iTunes and you can get B.o.B. Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray at you local Best Buy/Target/Hip-Hop Shop April 27th.

Freaknik: The Musical
Just in case you missed it on Adult Swim last night here is T-Pain's animated musical (which was better than I expected). The musical features the voices of T-Pain, Snoop Dogg, Cee-Lo, Big, Boi, Charlie Murphy, Lil Wayne (as Trap Jesus with a funny ending), Rick Ross, and more.
Tales of Gangsta Gibbs
Yessir, Tales of Gangsta Gibbs is back in effect with some new songs. These two goodies were on XXL's Freshmen 2010 with a bunch of Who Kidd (or is it Whoo Kid? Whoo Kidd? I don't know) name drops. But a few good men put out a no DJ version, now if we could just get a no DJ version of B.o.B.'s May 25th...

THE KING'S BACK!
While one rapper gets sent to jail for a year *cough*Weezy*cough*, another one returns with his first song since being released. Good song, I think it's amazing but it's the first new song I heard from T.I. in a while so I don't want my excitement to over-hype it. And according to a member of the Twitter World we can expect his new album August 24th.

Stat Quo - Success
The first official single of the long awaited STATLANTA album. Looks like it's actually coming...
Big Boi - Tangerine
The folks over at RapRadar pushed Big Boi into playing the T.I.-less version of Tangerine. That intro is a monster, the long named album is supposed to come out some time this summer I think, don't quote me.
B.o.B. - DJ Skee Interview
In this video B.o.B. answers questions about his label, T.I., and Eminem. When asked about the Eminem shout-out he received B.o.B. replied, "the 15 year-old version of me would of just came on himself," HA! Adventures of Bobby Ray comes out April 27th, I know what I'll be doing.
B.o.B. - Not Love
Video from one of Bobby Ray's earlier song that was featured on the LRG mixtape Hello My Name Is B.o.B. Let's face it he is no Slick Rick (not saying he's trying to be) but this is still a cool song.
Drop The World BTS (Video)
Looking forward to this one, if any song from Rebirth was going to get a music video you knew it was going to be this one. I was wondering how it was possible to shoot over 7 videos in such a small time frame, now I find out all he did was stand in front of a green screen (for most if not all of them I'm assuming) and let other people make the vid.

Gorillaz - Stylo ft. Mos Def & Bobby Womack
Bruce Willis and Mos Def, think I'm going to watch 16 Blocks tonight. I don't understand how the video relates to the song but oh well. I still like it more than that Young Money "Roger That" video, which also premiered today. You can search for it on youtube though because I'm not posting that. Once again, Bobby Womack is not to be confused with Brandi Womack. I also included another leak from the Gorillaz album that features Mos Def again.

Nightmare On Elm Street
I wasn't sure about this at first but if anyone can pull off Freddy it's Rorschach.
All Day I Dream About Sex
Bet, you never expected to see this band on my blog. Truth be told I'm not a big fan of Korn, but I was listening to Killer Mike's A.D.I.D.A.S. one day when I discovered this version. You can watch the Hip-Hop version down below (edits are killing me).
Michael Franti & Spearhead - Ganja Babe
I'm bringing light like Thomas funky Edison
I'm not familiar with this group but I have fallen in love with this song. You may have heard it on the Showtime series WEEDS, one of my favorite shows on television (Breaking Bad on AMC is my #1). You can find the song the Season 1 soundtrack of WEEDS. Live version down below...
Ryan Lewis - Fake Empire
I don't actually own this song but I saw this video a while back and thought it was cool.*movie trailer guy voice* "Macklemore stars in Fake Empire. A Ryan Lewis Production."
Ludacris - Saturday
I cannot for the life of me remember what I did Saturday. I know that at night I played catch up here at TOTC, but I can't recall what I did during the day. Whatever it was, I'm sure I had a good time.
Macklemore ft. Champagne Champagne - Kings (Live)
I'm in one of those moods where all I want to do is sit and listen to
