Now that I got your attention, thanks to the lovely Alison Brie, I would like to take the time to promote an artist with a special event happening April 27th. It is no secret that Bobby Ray (B.o.B.) is one of my favorite newcomers to the hip-hop scene. Even though he is often categorized as a rapper I hesitate to do so because once you get used to the emcee side, B.o.B., you are introduced to the other half Bobby Ray, a guitar playing musician who makes songs in the genre that he chooses depending on the mood he is in. From blues to pop, rock to rap, once you hear one thing expect something different. With the album release date being almost a month away I would like to (re)introduce you to the artist known as B.o.B.

Bobby Ray's first singles were a weed anthem dedicated to all the smokers and a song for all the haters. With these two songs if you didn't think he was going to blow up it would be okay, at the time he was making good music but nothing separated him from any other ATLien. But, once he was signed to Grand Hustle and started to do hooks for rappers everywhere he blew up.

One of my favorite B.o.B. hooks, riding through downtown San Antonio on my way to community college, there is something better waiting in the future.

I believed this was going to be the song that would make him blow up, and in a way it did. I'll be in the sky.

2 Motion Family vids that showcase the wonder that is Bobby Ray. From the blues styled lyrics of "No Man's Land," to the rock style of "Created A Monster" which was featured in a Nintendo DS commercial, Madden 10, and on ESPN. More well deserved buzz...

Currently the #5 song on Billboard's Hot 100, #2 on iTunes Top Singles, this song may be taking over your radio right now. This song is getting so big all you have to do is type in "no" on youtube and the second suggestion is this song. With all this buzz it appears Mr. Bobby Ray should look forward to a hot summer.

Get caught up with all of his mixtapes here.
